Please Note: The PARTICIPANT must be a member to register between April 19-22, 2010, and for non-members, PARTICIPANT must be registered in the current session to register between April 23-25, 2010

This is a Mini-Session, with a reduced number of weeks, and at a reduced price. Please check the schedules carefully for full details. There are NO classes on Saturday, May 29, or Monday, May 31, 2010 (Memorial Day Weekend).

Classes are available Monday-Saturday, for ages 8 months to adult.

Tennis Programs

Learn a fast paced game that began in England nearly 200 years ago. Our club features 9 tennis courts! Come play on our six indoor courts or enjoy the weather on our three outdoor clay courts. We have a strong tennis program with leagues, drill sessions, instructional clinics and ladders for adults, seniors, and juniors. Our exceptional staff of tennis pros would love to help you meet your tennis goals.



Tennis & Training
Join Doug Neagle & Chris Brown for 90 minutes of Tennis & Training!

45 minutes of a group tennis lesson + 45 minutes of a group core & conditioning workout.

Improve your footwork, Strengthen your 'core', Improve your backhand, & Increase cardiovascular & muscular endurance!

Classes run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 10:30am, for 6 weeks.

Aerobics
Aerobics is defined as extended activities that make you breathe hard while using the large muscle groups at a regular, even pace. Aerobic activity trains the heart, lungs and cardiovascular system to process and deliver oxygen more quickly and efficiently to every part of the body. Aerobics is also helpful for weight control. An aerobically fit individual can work longer, more vigorously and achieve a quicker recovery at the end of the aerobic session.



 
Aquatics

Aqua Exercise
Pools are not just for swimming anymore! Many forms of exercise, from yoga to running to physical therapy have taken to the water, joining traditional swimming as among the world's most popular fitness programs. Whether you are pregnant, recovering from an injury or simply want to try a new way to get fit, we have an aquatics program that will suit you.

We offer over 20 water aerobic classes throughout the week with a wide variety of styles. Try our high energy total water workout or the challenge of deep water jogging. Perhaps the therapeutic aqua arthritis class or our water yoga classes are what you need. Whatever your preference, we have a class to suit your style. (Also see Swim Lessons below.)

Basketball
Work on your dribble and jump shot on our hardwood floored basketball court. With climate controlled air and forced heat, it is the perfect place to shoot hoops all year long. Come play regulated pick-up Monday-Thursday starting at 3:30pm and Saturday mornings. We also offer four men's basketball leagues throughout the year. Games (regulated by certified referees) are played on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7 & 8pm. BIGGEST LOSER
Designed to promote fast weight loss and body fat reduction. Only for those who are willing to put in the hard work both in the gym and in the kitchen.

This program will kick off on Monday, January 11, 2010 with testing in the BOD POD to establish your baseline. Bod Pod Testing will be available from 9:00am to 8:00pm.

Your program will be tailored to fit you schedule - choose morning, afternoon, evening or weekend sessions whatever fits your schedule!

Body Blast Boot Camp
High intensity large group style workout. Workout will be geared towards weight loss, toning & sculpting, cardiovascular conditioning, and jump starting your new year. Join Mac James on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday mornings from 6:00-7:00am. Minimum age is 13. Costs: Members - $216, Non-Members - $288

Children's Fitness
As part of the children's membership, Sport Fit Bowie offers a variety of children's fitness classes. Certified instructors use games and fun fitness activities to keep your little one active while you enjoy your workout. Classes focus on movement, balance, endurance, strength, and flexibility.



Core Golf
Improve your golf game this off-season by participating in Chris' 6-week program! Through the use of medicine balls, body weight exercises, stability balls, & resistance bands, you'll build a stronger 'core' for the 2010 golf season!

Cycling
Whether you are just getting started or have an established training program, we can help you achieve your fitness or racing goals with our cycling program. Cycling can offer benefits for both fitness and fat burning. You can vary your programs so that you can alternate between fitness and fat burning, or a program that includes both. Come join one of our 45 minute classes offered several times a day throughout the week for a powerful workout!



Functional Fitness Boot Camp
Say goodbye to stale, monotonous workout regimens! Back by popular demand, Tony & Kristine will help you step up your routine. This 6-week boot camp will help you shed those stubborn pounds as you become stronger, leaner & meaner. Both instructors are Crossfit level one certified & will help make your workouts more efficient, challenging & captivating.

The boot camp will run for six consecutive Saturdays from 7:30-8:30 am, Cost: Members - $120, Non-Members - $150

Group Exercise

Martial Arts

Karate
Children can increase their coordination, balance, and self-defense by taking part in karate classes offered by Klotz Institute of Karate. Classes are available for children ages 6-12 years and Pee Wee ages 4-5 years.

 
Parent Night Out
As part of the children's membership, parents get to enjoy a night out to dinner or a movie or just a break form the kids. Parent Night Out consists of 3 hours of games, fitness, sports, pizza, and fun for your kids. Parent Night Out takes place on the first Saturday of each month, however space is limited.

Racquetball
You are sure to work up a sweat in one of our three hardwood floored racquetball courts. Whether you are an experienced player or a beginner to the game, we offer lessons, clinics, leagues, and socials that will fit your playing ability.

 
SCUBA
SCUBA
Now is the time to plan that exotic trip you have been waiting for!

Learn to SCUBA Dive right here in the Sport Fit pool and take your experience to the underwater world. Sport Fit offers Padi-Certified SCUBA classes instructed by Sea Colony Aqua Sports.

Classes run for 6-weeks on Wednesday nights from 6-10pm, during which you'll gain classroom instruction and hands on learning in the pool. Tentative session start dates for 2009 are: April 8, May 20, July 1, August 12, September 23, November 4

Senior Programs
Lower impact doesn't mean lower benefits! We offer fitness programs and classes specifically designed for seniors that can meet your needs through reduced impact activities. Our programs will help seniors improve cardiovascular health, flexibility, strength, stamina, balance, and coordination. Men and Women of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Stay healthy and fit with us while making some new friends.



2K Knockout Fitness
Are you looking for a fun way to get in better shape, lose weight and build your self confidence? 2K Knockout Fitness Classes deliver. During this 10 session course, Keith Kemp, instructor and personal trainer, teaches Boxing basics as well as overall conditioning. The combination of cardiovascular and strengthening exercises results in an incomparable total body workout.

If losing weight is your goal, this class is your answer. Hard work is required, but satisfaction is guaranteed!

Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8:45-9:45 pm OR Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7am. 10-classes; $80 Members and $100 Nonmembers.
